Chaloklum Koh Phangan

Chaloklum Koh Phangan is a working fishing village. Located on the far north west coast of Koh Phangan and is as far away from the party scene as you can get.

As a working fishing village, Chaloklum Koh Phangan has its own energy that’s still quite unaffected by mass tourism. Manages to keep its original Thai village charm and the area still remains largely undeveloped.

One of the most beautiful tourist destinations on the West coast of Koh Phangan. Well placed on the island as both a base for short stay holidays and also for longer term residency. Although Chaloklum Koh Phangan is pretty much as far to the North West as you can stay on the island.

Coconut trees line the beach giving some much needed shade during the midday sun.

Boat Trips: Long tail taxi boats, ferrying visitors to Bottle Beach and back are normally operating from this area of the beach, close to the pier. Best to walk a few metres further along the beach well away from the boats to allow safe swimming or snorkelling. Small patches of coral reef here if you enjoy snorkelling, but it’s not the best spot on the island. Head to Mae Haad or Salad Beach if snorkelling is top of your list.
