Transitional Months (May and June)
- May and June mark the transition from the dry season to the wet season. While these months are technically part of the wet season, rainfall is usually sporadic. The temperatures remain warm, and there is still plenty of sunshine. It’s a quieter period on the island before the onset of heavier rains.
Wet Season (July to November)
- July to September: The wet season on Koh Phangan sees an increase in rainfall, with occasional heavy downpours. The island becomes lush and green during this time. Daytime temperatures remain warm, ranging from 25°C to 31°C (77°F to 88°F). July and August are still relatively popular for travel.
- October to November (Monsoon): These months typically experience higher rainfall, and there’s an increased chance of storms. October is often the wettest month. While it’s the low season with fewer tourists, some businesses may close temporarily for maintenance.
